George Thomas Wiggins

George T. Wiggins, 77, of 348 Great Fork Road, Suffolk, Virginia, transitioned on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He was born on January 20, 1948 to the late George Earl Wiggins and Mamie Jones Wiggins in Suffolk, Virginia. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his loving wife Beulah, five brothers Clifton, Russell, Leon, Ernest and William, along with one niece and nephew Kimberly and Joseph.

George Thomas was educated in Nansemond Public Schools. He retired as a supervisor from Ciba Chemical Plant. He was a faithful member of Palm Tree Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon board. In his spare time, George Thomas enjoyed watching the westerns, attending car shows and working on lawn mowers. Always ready to tell a story or crack a joke, George Thomas made everyone smile.

He leaves to cherish his memory: three sons Richard (Sondra), Morris (Gwen) and Norris (Shirley); two sisters Jean Riddick and Sylvia Wiggins; 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; four sisters in-law Francis Artis, Dorothy Wiggins, Sheryl Wiggins and Mary Wiggins; a devoted niece and caregiver Debbie Shambley along with a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
