George Cicero Bryant, II

June 6, 1940 — February 26, 2021

George Cicero Bryant II, (Pop) was born on June 6, 1940 to Allen Boston Bryant, Sr. and Mary Evans Bryant. He was educated in the Suffolk School System. Pop was a member of the Macedonia AME Church on Pine Street, where he lived most of his life. Pop was predeceased by both of his parents, his sister Hattie M. Bryant and brother Allen Boston Bryant Jr. Pop is survived by his daughter Johnnette Bryant Cutler and son George C. Bryant III (Jackie); three grandsons, Jospeh L. Smith, Jr. (Tamisha), Shamar L. Smith and Dajuan Bryant (Portia); two granddaughters, Tamara L. Bryant and Danee Bryant; 6 great granddaughters, Shamaria Smith, Trinity Smith, Taylor Smith, Tamia Smith, Gabby Bryant and Ava Bryant; seven great grandsons, Joshua Smith, Justin Smith, Jacob Bryant, Dajuan Bryant, Jr., Jonah Bryant, Avery Bryant and Alijah Bryant. He was blessed to also have a wonderful caregiver who was there for his every need, Gwen Mitchell Harris. She was not only his caregiver, she is family. He was also survived by a host of cousins and friends. Pop was a diehard Dallas Cowboy Fan and he lived a full and happy life. He never met a stranger and had a heart of gold. His door was always open to everyone. Even though his physical presence will be missed, we are grateful to God for having him in our lives. Take your rest now daddy we love you. A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021 in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
