Genella Yvonne Bryant Johnson

Genella Yvonne "Peaches"  Bryant Johnson was born June 24, 1950 to the late George Lee Bryant Sr. and Rosa Lee Watson Bryant in Nansemond County, Virginia. She also preceded in death two brothers George Lee Bryant Jr. and Anthony Bryant. To know her was to love her she leaves to cherish her loving memory two sons Gerard O. Bryant (Star) and Dwann K. Bryant (Tonya). Three grandsons; Breon D. Gray, Dondre' L. Gray of Suffolk Va. and Kyshon J. Hopkins of Wilson N.C. Three greatgrandchildren; Makai A. Gray, Kayani M. Gray of Virginia Beach, and Kinaz J. Hopkins of Wilson N.C; four sisters; Lillie Parker, Cynthia Bryant, Wilma Boone and Bridgette Bivins (Reginald) all of Suffolk Va. One Brother Terry W. Bryant of Suffolk Va. and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Genella Y. Bryant Johnson attended Suffolk Public Schools and later went to White Plains New York were she worked at St. Agnes Hospital in Environmental Services. She enjoyed life and watching NFL football. She was a fan of The Dallas Cowboys.

 A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2024 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
