Gary B. Skinner

Gary B. Skinner, 70, of Suffolk, Virginia, transitioned Saturday, June 12, 2021, at his residence. Gary was born in Suffolk, to the late Magdalene (Baby) Skinner on September 29, 1950. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jacqueline Skinner, four uncles, James L. Skinner, Sr., Russell Skinner, Russo Skinner, and Norwood Skinner. Gary attended Suffolk Public Schools. He was employed at Planters Peanuts until his health failed. He was a member of Orlando Baptist Church. Gary was also known as an avid Domino Player and an all-time Fisherman. Gary leaves to cherish his memory, three sisters, Deborah Wilkins of Suffolk, Brenda Smith of Newport News, and Bonitha Skinner of Hampton. One brother, James H. Skinner, Sr. (Clara) of Suffolk, Four Aunts, Dr. Catherine B. Skinner, Etta Skinner, Shirley Skinner and Carolyn Skinner. He was also survived by his buddy (cousin) Elton L. Skinner, Sr. Gary is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. There will be a viewing of Mr. Skinner on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Crocker Funeral Home from 12 noon to 7:00 P.M. in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel.
