We gather to reflect, celebrate and give thanks for the live of Frederick Skeeter, Jr. On Friday, May 11, 2018, God decided to call one of his children home. He was born January 8, 1948 in Suffolk, Va. to the late Frederick and Myrtie Mae Skeeter.During his lifetime, he never met a stranger to which he didn't greet and departed them with a smile. he was kind to all who knew him and always willing to do a favor for anyone. His kindness will be missed by many.He was formerly employed by Sears & Roebuck from Atlanta, Georgia, and he was a member of Mt. Ararat Christian Church.He was preceded in death by a sister, Sylvonnia "Evelyn" Lee, and two brothers, Calvin and Phillip Skeeter.He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Angela Whitfield-Norman, Kashtieo Mason; son, Darold Skeeter; three sisters, Leandrey Mason (Jethro), Alma Barber (Ronnie) and Quay Sawyer; six brothers, Durmand, Howard (Marilyn), Jerome (Barbara), Nathaniel (Linda), Theodore Skeeter and Michael Everett; brother-in-law, Clarence Lee; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; four aunts, Irene Lundy, Florine Skeeter, Janet Riddick, and Elnora Tranum; uncle Frank Skeeter; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Mt. Ararat Christian Church. He will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
