Florence Emma Staggs, 76 of 600 Forest Lane, Suffolk, Va. She was a native of Suffolk, born and raised in the Chuckatuck area. She was the next to oldest daughter born to Paul C. Goodman and Mary E. Goodman. She attended Oakland School. She was a member of Friendship Cathedral Church for many years. She was employed for over 40 years with Suffolk Public Schools as a bus driver, driving bus #53. She leaves to cherish her memory Felix Stagg, her husband of over 40 years; Her children that she loves to life, Clarence Goodman, Erica Brown, Kenneth Brown, Keith Brown, Tyrese Moore, Tony Brown, Melody Smith, Denise Vaughan and Ronald Savage (Paulette), all of Suffolk, Va; Tabares Batchelor of Portsmouth, Va. 21 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; Two brothers, Paul Goodman of Junction, Kansas City and William Goodman of Suffolk, Va. ;Two sisters, Florine Goodman and Pauline Walker (Andrew) of Suffolk, VA; Hosts of nephews and nieces, cousins, sister-in-law and brother-in-law. also, a very devoted friend Joann Sharp. A viewing will be held 1-7 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2023 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel. A celebration of life will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Greater First Baptist Orlando.
