To everything, there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1 A Time to be Born - Fern Bazemore Buck was born on May 4, 1952, in Suffolk, VA to the late William Lundy and Annie Maude Bazemore-Moore. A Time to Grow - She was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, Class of 1971. A Time to Love - On January 1, 1975, she married the late Wallace Buck and from that union, she became the proud mother of Steven and Jennifer. A Time to Work - She retired from QVC in Suffolk, VA and upon her move to Georgia, she enjoyed working at All My Kids Academy, cherishing all of the children at the center, taking numerous photos and sharing their playful moments. A Time to Serve - She was a former member of Greater Sweet Beulah Apostolic where she was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost; and while there served in the M. G. Fellowship Choir. She recently worshiped at Holy Light Tabernacle, Smyrna, GA where she served as the Head of the Trustee board for over 15 years. Serving alongside other mentors and advisors she worked with the Beautiful Pearls (P-Phenomenal, E-Elegant, A-Accountable, R-Rare, L-Ladies, S-Surviving) LLC, a non-profit organization encouraging young women to serve within their communities. She assisted and served with the kitchen staff at the church and the Pastor’s Aide Committee. A Time to Die - For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. Romans 14:8 - She departed this life on Thursday, May 30, 2019. God quickly carried her to a place beyond time, space, pain and sorrow. A Time to Remember - She was preceded in death by her loving mother Annie Maude Bazemore-Moore, father William Lundy; her grandparents Thomas Lee Bazemore and Geneva Watson Bazemore; one sister Denise Boone; two special aunts, Helen Marie Starks, and Dorothy Robinson, and one niece Kimberly Bazemore. Her precious memory shall be cherished in all the lives that she touched, she is survived by her daughter Jennifer Buck Rudolph and son-in-law Rodney Rudolph of Ellenwood, GA; one son Steven K. Buck of Covington, GA, and one stepson Omar Edmond of Richmond, VA; four granddaughters Summer Wilson of Richmond, VA, Issa Buck of Kansas City, MO, Raegaan Rudolph and Mirah Valentine both of Ellenwood, GA; one grandson Christian Buck of Ellenwood, GA; honorary niece and nephew Nicole and Amir White of Covington, GA;  two sisters Vanessa Copeland and Brenda Savage both of Suffolk, VA; three brothers Gary Moore of Covington, GA, Phillip L. Bazemore and Kelvin L. Bazemore both of Suffolk, VA; one aunt Paulette Dorsey (Clarence), and one uncle Tommy Bazemore (Anne) both of Baltimore, MD; two brothers-in-law Elgin L Copeland Jr of Suffolk, VA and Clifton Boone of Lithonia, GA;six six sisters-in-law Althea and Deborah Bazemore, Lucille Mundon (Douglas), Joyce Buck and Sharon Bazemore all of Suffolk, VA, and Angelia Mills of Union City, GA, special cousin Regina Copeland of Suffolk, VA and her best friends Michael and Barbara Hope Sr. Those that knew her understood that she loved, cherished, and had a special relationship with her nieces and nephews: Kelvin “Chris” Valentine, Crystal Barnes, Brian Valentine, Kimberly Savage, Tameka Gatling (Deon), Rhonda Moore (Daryl), Toni Edmonds, Shawana Mayo (Travis), Estri Pennington (Kiam), Vania Holliman (Dwann), Aprell Skinner (Craig), Travis Bazemore (VeKesha), Elgin “Trey” Copeland III, Audrey Patterson (Lawrence), Phoenix Long, Michael Hope Jr. (Andrea) and Joseph “ Pastor Joe” Hope, and a host of great & great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Fern is remembered as the family photographer and adventurer. Her zest for life, passion for travel, and appreciation for people and relationships left enduring impressions on all who knew her. Fern’s favorite saying was, “If you see someone without a smile, make sure you give them yours.” She will forever be smiling down on us until we meet again. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 6,2019 at Balm Church, 525 E. Washington Street, Suffolk, Virginia. Bishop A.S.Hall, Sr. will officiate and Apostle Michael Hope will deliver the words the comfort. The family will receive guests at 2634 E.
