Fellex Andrew Staggs
Born January 27, 1958, was a man whose life reflected strength, love, resilience and dedication to family. He was the beloved son of Elsie Mae Washington and Sylvester Mayfield Sr.
Fellex shared over 40 years of love and marriage with his devoted wife, Florence E. Staggs, who preceded him in death. Together they built a home grounded in love, sacrifice and family unity.
He leaves behind his biological children: Erica Brown, Kenneth Brown and Keith Brown (Kevona). He also lovingly helped raised and cared for Tony O. Brown, Clarence Goodman, Tyrese Moore, Melody Smith-Freeman, Denise Vaughan, Ronald Savage ( Paulette) and Tavares Batchelor.
Fellex was blessed with 22 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and Two grandchildren preceded him in death.
He was preceded in death by his sister; Vanessa Williams, and he leaves behind his loving sisters; Tammie Major, Estelle Lassiter (Donald), Dinita Mizell-Cheetum (Roscoe) and Ruth Perry (Lonnie). He was preceded in death by his brother; Lester Staggs, and leaves behind his brothers Thomas Staggs (Bromodeen), Josh Mizell III, and Sylvester Mayfield Jr. (Beverly Mayfield).
Fellex will be remembered for his presence, wisdom, resilience, humor and unwavering love for his family. He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Though he is no longer physically present, his spirit and legacy live on through the lives he touched, the family he helped build and the love he gave so freely throughout his life.
Viewing will be held 3-6 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2026 at Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Balm Church-East Campus. He will be laid to rest in Little Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family has entrusted Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. with professional services rendered with dignity, compassion and care.
