Father Wayne Carlton Hodge, Sr.

Father Wayne C. Hodge Sr. 72, of Suffolk, departed on Friday, March 15, 2019, at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Brown Hodge, and a brother, Ernest L. Hodge Jr. Wayne leaves to cherish his memory a son, Wayne Jr. (Prema), of New York, N.Y.; two daughters, Erika Hodge Harris, of Laurel, Md., and Maya N. Hodge, of Los Angeles, Calif.; a granddaughter, Mariya Harris; and two grandsons, Travis Harris Jr. and Liam Hodge. He is also survived by a sister Charlotte H. Martin (Tony), of Covington, and a brother, Ronald (Felicia), of Durham, N.C. A memorial service will be held with remembrances at 11 a.m. and memorial to commence at 11:25 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2019, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 142 Tynes St. Suffolk.
