Eunice Valencia Holmes

Eunice Valencia Futrell Holmes, 44, of Commerce Street, Petersburg, Virginia transitioned Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Southside Regional Medical Center. She is the daughter of Dorothy Futrell and the late James Edward Bass. Eunice attended Ahoskie Elementary and was a graduate of Hertford County High School. She received her Associates in Applied Science from Roanoke Chowan Tech. She was a three times foster mother. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Robert L. Holmes of Suffolk, VA; daughter, Ciara Nicole Futrell of Petersburg; son, Brandon Lamar Lassiter of Petersburg; mother, Dorothy Futrell; seven sisters, Rhonda Renee Holmes, Tracie Bass, Robin Parker, Chandra Parker, Stefanie Parker, Kisha Whitfield and April Blackwell; three brothers, Martin Lamont Futrell, Erik Parker and Bobby Parker; nieces, Ebony, DeAndra and JaShyia; great nieces, Ahlaguii, Divine and Zionna; nephews, James III, DeAndre II, Jerrelle and Aaron; great nephews, William Jr., Kamorie, Jaheem, Elijah and Zionah; grandmothers, Beatrice Futrell and Grace Perry; grandfathers, Johnnie Futrell and James Jacobs; aunts, Juanita Bailey, Alycia Perry, Blannie, Evelyn, Elizabeth, Alease, Lola and Theora; uncles, William, Allen, James, Johnnie, Jr., Earl, Grady and Bernard; cousins, Lance, Alex, Gloria, Curtis, Cynthia, Effiel, Artie, Erica, Imani, Allen, Jr., Wanda, Barbara, Noe, Jayda, Noah, Nya, Miles, Evan, Myra, Arir, TJ, Timothy, Tyler, Trinite, Taylor, Elliot, John, Michelle, Brandon, Sharon, Keil, Greg Linda, Ahmir, Elihah and Miranda.
