Eunice O. Willis transitioned on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was born to the late George Walker and Sarah Wynn Walker. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Eunice Walker-Jackson, husband, William T. Willis, Jr., two sons, Ronald Willis and Henry Thomas, daughter, Patricia Thomas, sister, Edith Eaton and two brothers Nathaniel Walker and George Walker. Eunice attended East Suffolk High School. She married the late William Thomas Willis, Jr. They were married for 68 years and are the parents of seven children. Eunice was a homemaker, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an immaculate housekeeper. She loved her family unconditionally and would often comfort, advise and pray with her family. Eunice was a devoted woman of faith. She was the Church Mother at House of Prayer Ministries in Hampton, VA until she was physically unable to attend. She was a former member of Greater New Hope Church of God in Christ for forty-five years. She was a deaconess and the church organist. Eunice maintained the cleanliness of the church for many years and would go to church an hour before service to turn on the heat or air conditioner to make sure that everyone was comfortable. She loved to cook for her family and friends. On Sundays she enjoyed preparing meals for the Pastor and his wife. She leaves to cherish three daughters, Sarah Thomas of Philadelphia. Tonia Willis of Suffolk and Bridgitte Willis-Townsell (John) of Newport News: Son Michael Willis of Portsmouth. God daughter LaShay Cross of Suffolk, 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 23 great great grandchildren, four special nieces, nephews and extended family. A celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Little Bethel Baptist Church, 6533 Everets Road, Suffolk, Virginia. Rev. Bernard Thomas will deliver the message of comfort. She will be laid to rest in Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
