Emma Lee Faltz

August 23, 1938 — July 22, 2021

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love is appearing. II Timothy 4:7-8 On July 22, 2021 at 9:35 a.m., God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered, "Come With Me." With tearful eyes we watched you, slowly fade away, although we loved you dearly, we would not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broker our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best, Emma Lee Davis Faltz had earned her eternal reward. Emma Lee was born on August 23, 1938 to the late Isaac Davis and Georgia Cary Davis. She was educated in Southampton County Public Schools. Emma Lee accepted Christ at an early age and joined Union Hill United Church of Christ. She attended and supported the church for many years in any way she was asked. She was longtime, faithful member of the Union Hill United Church of Christ Usher Board. Emma Lee enjoyed the outdoors. You could often see her mowing her lawn, trimming her bushes and tending her flower and vegetable gardens. Emma was united in Holy matrimony to Nathaniel (Nat) Faltz, Sr. August 25, 1958. God called Nat home May 18, 1974. Emma Lee was a Private Duty Personal Care Worker for many years before retiring in 2003. She worked hard to provide for her three children after being widowed at an early age. Being the oldest girl, she was a role model for her siblings. As one of the oldest siblings she showed her younger siblings and children how to handle the storms of life with grace, thankfulness, and never giving up. She showed us how to let go and let God fight our battles. She told and showed us throughout her life that giving up was not an option. Emma Lee is preceded in death by her parents Isaac and Georgia Davis, her husband Nathaniel Faltz, Sr. five brothers: Charlie Davis, Isaac Davis, McCoy Davis, McClenny Davis, and Ulysses Davis. She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters: Mary Faltz Hasan of Glen Burnie, MD., Emma Peebles (LaVaughan) of Chesapeake, VA; one son: Nathaniel Faltz, Jr. (Sharon) of Zuni, VA; four grandchildren: Shanat Faltz, Cali Isaac Hasan, Jeremiah Peebles, and Elijah Peebles; five sisters: Mary Lee Davis and Lucy Wynn of Ivor, VA; Elizabeth Parham (Bernard) of Lynchburg, VA, Minister Shirley Gray-Martin (Roosevelt) of Copperas Cove, TX, and Georgia Ann Simmons of Virginia Beach, VA. Two brothers: John Davis of Ivor, VA; and Ronnie Davis (Felicia) of Dendron, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Emma will be greatly missed. A celebration of life of life will be held noon, Friday, July 30, 2021 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. Rev. Roy Stokes will deliver the message of comfort.
