Elsie Mae Boone, 83, of Cottonwood Lane, Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Monday, July 1, 2024 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Della Freeman and Willie Martin. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Boone; daughter, Kathy Denise Ruffin; two grandsons, Brad Ruffin and Deshawn Bailey; four sisters, Sarah Martin, Dorothy Freeman, Barbara Freeman Parker and Laura Rodgers; two brothers, Joseph Macklin and Floyd White.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Sandy Boone and Labarbara Goodman; three sons, Gregory Boone (Towana Boone), Kevin Boone (Diane Boone) and Bobby Boone; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Simpson and Elsie Jones; one brother; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of life will be held noon, Monday, July 8, 2024 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
