Elmer Jordan, Jr.

Elmer Jordan Jr. 76 yrs old was taken to his heavenly home on Tuesday Aug /27/2024 at home alone. In his life he was love by his friends and family. Loving the Redskin was one of his passions. 

He was born on April 22, 1948, in Suffolk VA. To the late Elmer Jordan Sr. and Fannie Mae Hodges. Two years later Allen Jordan was born. Elmer lived in the Maryland and Washington D.C. area he married early in life to Alice Jordan he had 2 children Keith and Christie Jordan after 35yrs got divorced and moved back to Suffolk VA to take care of his Mother Fannie Mae until her passing in 2016. 

Elmer graduated in 1967 from John F. Kennedy High School. Elmer was a diligent worker in 1968 he joined the Metropolitan Police Dept. in Washington D.C. retired from that job after 25yrs then worked at the Federal Reserve building he left there help with side jobs. Help at the retirement home in Suffolk then worked security at Franklin hospital. He finally retired after years working and helping family with whatever they needed. 

He was an active member Suffolk Connection, he traveled, ate good, seasoned food. He always knew a good place to eat. He was a man of immense humor and friendly conversation. He cherishes every moment he spent with his loved ones. 

Elmer leaves behind his children Kieth Jordan, Christie Jordan, brother Allen Jordan, Uncle Floyd Hodges, Aunt Mary, Nephews Allen Jordan, Alano Jordan and niece Angie Holland. 

A public viewing will be held 4:00-7:00pm, Friday, September 13, 2024 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held 11:00am, Saturday, September 14, 2024 at St. Paul Church. Mr. Jordan will be laid to rest in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
