Elliott Leon Wiggins

Mr. Elliott Leon Wiggins, 66, of Cherrywood Ct., Chesapeake, Virginia transitioned on March 24, 2021 at his home. He is predeceased by his parents, George and Mamie Wiggins, brothers, John Wiggins, Russell Wiggins (Rosa), William Wiggins Sr. (Mary), and son, Joseph Wiggins. Elliott, known as Leon, was born June 12, 1954 to the late George and Mamie Wiggins. After graduating from Suffolk Public Schools in 1962, Elliott became employed with Georgia Pacific where he served for 35 years, retiring as a Forklift Driver. He was an avid Washington Redskins fan, race car driver, and a “jap” of all trades. He enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends. Elliott leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 21 years, Sheryl Wiggins, his children, Leona Mabrey, Jewel Worrell (Antoine), Leon Wiggins (Michelle), Phillip Wiggins, Kenneth Wiggins, Thadus Mabrey, and Anthony Hamlin (Omarya), God sons, Elijah Ruffin and Jamontai Wilson, his siblings, Sylvia Wiggins, Jean Riddick, Clifton Jones, and George Wiggins (Beulah), sisters-in-law Rosa Wiggins and Mary Wiggins, 31 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and special friends Indy and Ginger. The Viewing of the late Elliott Leon Wiggins will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home and the graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, April 1, 2021 in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk, Virginia.
