Elias Giles

Elias Giles, 51, of North 5th Street transitioned Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was the son of Dorthy Smith and Willie Giles. He was preceded in death by his wife Mariette Edwards Giles and two sisters, Darlene Giles and Marilyn Giles.He was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and a member of Total Transformation House of Praise.He is survived by his daughter, Nicole Edwards; son, Bryan Edwards; three sisters, Areatha Hamlin, Phylis Jones and Laurel Hamlin; four brothers, Gregory Giles, Marvin Giles,Lorenzo Whack, and Wyatt Hamlin; five grandchildren, Tayden, Bryan Jr., Tylen, NyAsia and Layla; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.A celebration of life will be held noon, Monday, May 21, 2018 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in the Crocker Funeral Home section of Carver Memorial Cemetery.
