Edward M. Goodman, Sr.

Edward Michael Goodman, Sr., known as Michael entered this world on Sunday Marh 5, 1967 in Suffolk, Virginia. Thursday, December 28, 2023 God called Michael home for eternal rest while in the care of Virginia Beach General. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward B. Reid; grandparents, Joe and Leena Reid, Chester and Margret Goodman, brother, Gregory Goodman, Godparents, Lillian P. Goodman and Howard Hayes.

He was a charter bus and long distance truck driver for 32 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends watching his favorite football team "Dallas Cowboys".

Michael leavest to cherish his loving memory two sons, Edward Michael Goodman, Jr. and Deshawn Holly of Suffolk, Virginia. His loving mother, Mary Goodman of Emporia, VA; brother, Pastor Reginald Goodman (Kim) of Emporia, VA; sister-in-law, Donna Goodman of Virginia Beach; two aunts, Shirley Jones (Clifton), Brenda Jones (Riley) of Suffolk, VA; uncle, Vernon Goodman (Yvonne) of Hampton, VA; two granddaughters, Michelle Goodman of Chesapeake and Nova Goodman of Hampton, VA; grandson; great-granddaughter, AVA Goodman; ex wife, Theresa Goodman; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; special devoted friends, Travis Godwin, Charotte McDonald, Michelle, Terri and Betty.

A celebration of life will be held noon, Friday, January 5, 2024 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
