On Saturday evening, September 24, 2022, Our Heavenly Father needed a special angel, He chose our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt and cousin to rest, Mrs. Earlean Harvey Ridley. She was a native of Buckhorn, Virginia, and the daughter of the late Paul and Ethel Mae Langston Harvey. She joined Piney Grove Baptist Church at an early age. She served as a choir member, attended Sunday School, Bible Study, Vocational Bible Study, and Noon Day service until declining health. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Jean Copeland of Portsmouth, VA and Geraldean Cook of Suffolk, VA; two sons, James Earl Ridley of Suffolk, VA and Johnell Ridley (Joe Ann) of Fort Walton Beach, FL; 10 grandchildren, Tony Keiling (Pamela) of Manassas, VA, Lamont Ridley, Derrick Parker, Sean Pearson, Quincy Jones, Keith Jones, Earl Ford, Tanyika Silver, Latonya Reid, and Terrie Brown Baker; and many cousins and friends. A public viewing will be held 12:00pm- 5:00pm, Sunday, October 2, 2022 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. A celebration of life will be held 12 Noon, Monday, October 3, 2022 at Piney Grove Baptist Church, 4901 Deer Path Road, Suffolk, VA 23434. Rev. Larry Parker will deliver the message of comfort. Mrs. Ridley will be entombed at Carver Memorial Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
