Dwight N. Baker

Dwight N. Baker of Suffolk, Virginia our beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend, departed this life on May 5, 2020 at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was born June 6, 1950 in Nansemond County. Dwight attended John F. Kennedy High School. He retired from Suffolk Parking Company and Goodyear Tires. He was preceded in death by his father, James G. Baker, Sr., mother, Laura Bell Copeland, sons, Dwight N. Baker, Jr., and Christopher Baker, Brother Connie Lee Baker, and sister Mildred Copeland. Dwight is survived by three daughters, Laquisa Baker (Melvin), Adela Williams, and Christa Mizell (Donta), and two Sons William Boone (Lasandra) and Dorian Riddick. Two devoted brothers James G. Baker, Jr., and David C. Baker III (Jennifer) all of Suffolk. 18 Grandchildren, 9 Great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. A viewing will be held 1-7 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2020 at Crocker Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2020 in Holly Lawn Cemetery.
