Dwight Alexander Evans

Dwight Alexander Evans, 60 of Richmond, VA departed this life on Monday, September 1, 2026 at Henrico Doctors' Hospital.

Dwight was born on October 22, 1965 to the late Doris Moody and Wilbur A. Evans in Nansemond County, VA. He was educated in the Suffolk Public Schools System, where he also was an exceptional basketball player. Dwight worked as an outstanding butcher for many years sharing his skill with various companies.

Dwight was preceded in death by his parents, Doris Moody and Wilbur A. Evans and a sister, Maxine Moody. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 13 years, Amoy Evans of Richmond, VA; three brothers, Richard Moody of Hampton, VA, Arther Moody (Carol) of Portsmouth, VA, and Keith Evans (Linda) of Smithfield, VA; a sister, Doris L. Pope (Robert) of Suffolk, VA; and numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.

All services are currently pending. The family has entrusted Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. with services rendered with dignity, compassion, and care.
