Duremius Norell Davis

Life & Legacy

Duremius Davis was born on February 21, 1972, in Birmingham, Alabama, and passed away on October 15, 2025, in Suffolk, Virginia. He was a steadfast servant of family, church, and country whose warm smile and generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Duremius served his country honorably as a loyal sailor in the United States Navy then later continued his commitment to serve his community actively at First Baptist Church of Lambert’s Point also as a devoted postal carrier with the Norfolk Post Office, of both to whom we are forever grateful. He approached both callings with quiet pride, dependability, and an easy humor that put people at ease. Whether in uniform or on his postal route, he brought steadiness, kindness, and a reassuring presence.

He was preceded in death by his mother, his stepfather, and his eldest sister. He is survived by his father, Norris Davis Sr.; his sisters Sekondi, Shenika, and Tiffany; his brother Norris Jr.; and a loving circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, church members, and naval comrades. He was cherished not only by his immediate family and church community but by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Duremius lived with a joyful, effervescent faith in the Lord and a genuine delight in life. He gave generously of himself and created memories that will be treasured forever. His legacy of service, faith, and unassuming warmth will continue to guide and inspire those who loved him.

He will be deeply missed, and we will honor his memory by carrying forward the kindness and commitment that defined his life.

A public viewing will be held 1-5pm, Sunday, November 9, 2025 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. A celebration of life will be held 11:00am, Monday, November 10, 2025 at First Baptist Church Lambert's Point, Norfolk, VA. Mr. Davis will have a private interment at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, VA. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
