Dorothy Louise Collins-Parker was born Oct. 17, 1938 to the late Leno C. Parker and Thomas Parker. She attended Nansemond County Schools. She was employed by Tufts Medical Center and returned to Virginia and was employed by the School System until she retired.
On March 11, 2024, the Almighty and wise God called to rest Dorothy L.C Parker. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Lovell Waltson, Minnie Mathew, Phillip(Viola) Parker, John Thomas(Doris) Parker. In addition Alvin Lee Parker (her son.)
She leaves behind to cherish her beautiful memories and to celebrate her life James Parker(Geraldine), Donna Parker, Sandra Samuels(Curtis) and Dorothy M. Parker(Herman).Sisters and brothers, William Collins(Evelyn) Barbara Ann Parker, Delorise Parker and Reliegh L. Collins(Lily). 8 grandkids, 14 great grand and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A public viewing will be held 3:00-7:00pm, Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held 11:00am, Friday, March 22, 2024 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. She will be laid to rest at the Collins Family Cemetery, 2415 Pittmantown Road, Suffolk, VA 23438.
