Donald Martyn McCoy, Sr.

Donald Martyn McCoy Sr., 67, of Norfolk, Virginia was born September 11, 1951 to the late William and Gwendolyn McCoy. He transitioned to heaven on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Maryview Medical Center, Portsmouth VA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Joy Gwentrice Baskerville and sister, Carolyn Carrington. Donald graduated from Crestwood High School and attended Norfolk State University. After graduation, he proudly served as a member of the United States Marine Corps.Following his distinguished service, he also worked for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a Radiations Engineer, for over 15 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Cynthia L. McCoy, of Suffolk, VA; daughter, Dawn Aldridge-Jones (Jameson); son, Donald M. McCoy Jr., a number of grand and great grandchildren as well as a host of other family members and friends.
