Denice Vanda Lee Odom, 73 passed away quietly on Thursday, January 11, 2024. She was born on December 24, 1950, to Marion Mann and Horace Odom. Denice was a great nurturer to her family; she had the biggest heart and sweetest demeanor. You could always count on her to bless you with a birthday card and song. Denice joined Diamond Grove Baptist Church at an early age and was a faithful member of the Gospel and Senior Choirs until her health started to decline. She loved church and enjoyed going and getting out as much as she could.
Denice was preceded in death by her parents, and five siblings.
She leaves to cherish her memories six siblings: Willie (Doretha) of Bloomfield, NJ; Bertha Wiggins (Cornelius), George (Juanita), Ronald Odom of Suffolk, VA; Kathleen Marshall (Alvin)of Fayetteville, NC and Andrea Beckman of Newport News, VA.
She will also be fondly missed by her host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, neighbors and friends.

A viewing will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024, from 2:00p.m.-6:00p.m. A celebration of life will be held noon, Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Diamond Grove Baptist Church, 6890 Crittenden Road, Suffolk. She will be laid to rest in Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
