Miss Delores Mae Deloatch was born on December 13, 1944, in Nansemond County (Suffolk, VA), to the late Eddie Foreman Sr. and Emma Sykes. She received her formal education through the Suffolk Public School System.
At an early age, Sister Delores accepted Christ as her Savior at St. Matthews Holiness Church, and years later, she joyfully rededicated her life to Him. Her faith remained an important foundation throughout her life.
In her leisure time, Delores enjoyed the simple pleasures—watching her favorite television reruns while sipping a hot cup of coffee, or enjoying a cold Pepsi. She found comfort and happiness in these quiet moments.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Eddie Foreman Sr. and Emma Sykes; her beloved sister, Shirley Spruell; and her brothers, Eddie Foreman Jr. and Walter Foreman.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory: one son, Tony Deloatch; one daughter, Diane Deloatch; one sister, Margaret Evans (James); one brother, James Foreman (Betty); nieces, Terricita Copeland (Travis), Anita Waters, and Letitia Corbett; great-nieces, Chante Silver (Walter) and Tamia Lott (Malcolm); nephew, Michael Spruell and great-nephew, Travis “TJ” Copeland; and a host of other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and dear friends.
The family extends a special and heartfelt thank you to her devoted nurse, Shakita Savage, for over 20 years of faithful care. Your love, dedication, and compassion will always be deeply appreciated.
