Dayquan Travon Eley, 28, of Darren Circle Portsmouth, Virginia transitioned Monday, January 11, 2021. He was the son of Philana Eley and Allen Cooley. He was a graduate of Lakeland High School and worked at NEXCOM for the past 4 1/2 years as a Forklift Driver. He attended Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Jakiyah Eley and son, Yah'sier Hunt both of Suffolk, Virginia; mother, Philana Eley; father, Allen Cooley; five sisters, Shaquana Green (Wesley) of Jonesboro, GA, Quamesha Eley, Amani Cooley and Gelisha Chapman all of Suffolk, Virginia and Asia Shaek of VA Beach; brother, Alante' Cooley; stepmother, Shawanee Waters; maternal grandparents, Minnie Carr and Herbert W. Carr (deceased); paternal grandparents, Shirley Richardson (Deceased) and Howard Lewis Cooley; aunts, Sharli Carr, of Chesapeake, Diane Warren (Richard) of Portsmouth, Patricia Cooley of Suffolk and Katrina Eley of Suffolk; uncles, Herbert Carr (Mashawn) of Portsmoth, Leon Cooley, Earl Cooley, Michael Cooley of Suffolk and Chris Ellis of Texas; devoted friend, Myesha Snead A public viewing will be held 1-7p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2021 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held noon, Friday, January 22, 2021 in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Daniel House will deliver the message of comfort.
