Darryl "Scoot" Lamont Knight, Jr., 26, of Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Thursday, May 9, 2024. He was the son of Natasha Powell (Britten Weaver) and Darryl Knight, Sr.
He was a 2016 graduate of Lakeland High School where he played football and he was the loving caretaker of his grandfather.
He leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Natasha Powell (Britten Weaver) and Darryl Knight, Sr.; children, Kaiden Bellamy-Knight and Ka'Lani Rodgers; siblings, Ceveon Branch, Ja Qwon Weaver, Amir Knight, Savion Boone, Lamont Knight and Breon Weaver; grandparents, Annette Harrell, Margie Knight and Charles Powell, Jr.; great-grandparents, Carol Towns and Betty Chambliss Whitney' aunts, Michelleda Outlaw (Michael), Trekita Ashurst (Lavell), Robin Wilkins, Dominique Thorpe (Phillip), Atoya Harrell, Aquia Ward (Alton) and Jerea Wiggins (D'Wayne); uncles, Charles Powell, III (Ursula), Ahmad Powell (Artillia) and Edward Whitfield; niece, Malayah Knight; a host of other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2024 at Balm Church-East Campus. Bishop A.S. Hall, Sr. will officiate and Rev. Andre Powell will deliver the message of comfort. He will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
