Danny Ray "Bo" Young

Danny Ray Young entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA. He was born to the late James and Juanita Boone Young. As a baby, the doctor told his mother that he would not live to be 3 years old, because of his birth defects. 

However, Danny lived to be 71 years old, thanks to our God and his son Jesus Christ, who came that he might have life, and his mother who was very protective of him. After his mother Juanita passed, his sister Jean (Lola) Barrett stepped in and moved into the family home to provide primary care for Danny; thank you Jean. Danny loved to greet everyone with big hugs and go out for his weekly rides whether it was around town or to his doctor's appointments. 

He was predeceased by his brother Caleb (C.J.) Young. Danny leaves to cherish his memory three brothers, Reginal (Reggie) Young, Tony A. Young (Sandra), and Elder James (Jackie) Young Jr. (Lynn), all of Suffolk, VA. Three sisters Lola Jean Barrett Suffolk, VA, Dorothy (Dot) Jefferson of Richmond, VA, and Erna B. White of Suffolk, VA. Once Uncle, Harry J. Boone of Virginia Beach, VA and one aunt, Verna D. Alston of Suffolk, VA. He also leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, and friends who dearly loved him.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 27,2024,12 p.m. at New Mount Joy Food For Living Ministry. A burial will take place on Monday, April 29, 2024, 12 p.m. at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, 4569 Shoulders Hill Rd. Suffolk, VA. 23435. Services with dignity has been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
