With great love and gratitude, we announce The passing of Danita Delores Johnson Poore, a devoted wife, mother, and dedicated healthcare professional.

A proud United States Coast Guard veteran, Danita served with honor and distinction. She touched countless lives as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Certified Medical Assistant.

Danita is preceded in death by her son Jermaine Roddy, parents Samuel and Evita Johnson, and sister Diane Valentine. She leaves behind her beloved husband Clarence Poore, son Daniel (Michelle) Roddy, Anissa Poore-Dabbs (William), Kipper Poore (Michelle) , Samuel Threadgill (brothers) Doris Allen, Donna Johnson, Darlene Branch, and Rita Threadgill (sisters), 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, a host of loving nephews, nieces and a very special friend Linda Skeeter, and a host of family and friends.

Her legacy of love, care, and service will live on through all who knew her.

A public viewing will be held from 2-5 pm, Wednesday, February 25, 2026, in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. A celebration of life will be held at 12 Noon, Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Poore will be laid to rest at Albert G. Horton, Jr., Memorial Veterans Cemetery at a later date. Professional services with dignity, compassion, and care have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
