Da'Jour "D.J." Jonoid Collins, Sr., 25, of Virginia Beach transitioned Tuesday, December 24, 2019 in Portsmouth, Virginia. He is the son of Dytania Collins and Taras Jones. He was preceded in death by his son Cruz Britt (Chiniqua Britt); grandmother, Sheila Collins, grandfather, Leroy Whittington, Sr., grandmother, Idonia Bond; favorite great aunt, Lou Ann Claiborne; aunt, Latisha Simpson; great uncle, Eddie Collins. He attended Lakeland High School and worked at Birdsong Peanuts as a Farmer Stock. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Dytania Collins; father, Taras Jones (Nicole); daughter, Niahah Johnson of Suffolk; two sons, Da'Jour Jonoid Collins, Jr. and Jamairus Johnson both of Suffolk; sister, Aliyah Jones of Hackensack,N.J; brother, Jaylon Jones of Hackensack, N.J; grandparents, Thomas Jones of California and Carol McKnight of New York; uncles, Andre Collins, Sr., Anthony Collins (Kim), Michael Collins of Va.Beach, Thomas Jones of N.C, Leroy Whittington, Jr.; aunts, Valencia Collins of Portsmouth, VA, Monique Knight of N.C, Lashunda Ross of VA. Beach, and Juanita Brown of Va. Beach; great aunt, Diana Keitt of Va, Lucinda Howard, Deloris Lopez all of VA; great uncles, Archie Whittington, Willie Whittington of Ohio; a longtime friend, Tisheka Johnson and A1MB; a host of other relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 6, 2020 at Balm Church East Campus. Bishop A.S. Hall, Sr. will deliver the message of comfort. He will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
