Mrs. Curlie Bell Holliman, 81 of Briggs Way, Windsor, Virginia transitioned Monday, October 8, 2018, at Beth Sholom Village in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Annie Mae and Lloyd N. Woodley. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Alexander Holliman, Sr. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, Buckhorn, Suffolk, Virginia where she served as the President of the Usher’s Board. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Anita H. Thompson of Franklin, VA; three sons, Alexander Holliman, Jr (Deborah), Chester L. Holliman, Sr. (Linda), and Michael Holliman, Sr., all of Virginia Beach, VA; three sisters, Eta M. Edmond of Suffolk, VA, Pecolia Saunders of Newport News, VA, and Kathy Clanton of Paterson, N.J; one brothers, Elder Nelson L. Woodley (Viola) of Littleton, N.C; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, and a host of other relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held noon, Monday, October 15, 2018, at Piney Grove Baptist Church, 4901 Deer Path Road, Suffolk. Pastor Larry Parker will deliver the message of comfort. She will be laid to rest in Georgia Tyler Cemetery, Windsor. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
