Courtney "CoCo" Cross, 34, of Greene Chapel Road, Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Thursday, September 30, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Franklin, VA and the daughter of Vernestine Artis Cross and Dwight Reginald Cross. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roy (Helen) Cross, Emmett (Janie) Artis and uncle, Mark Cross. CoCo was employed with the City of Suffolk Public Schools as a Transportation Dispatcher. She was a member of Eatons Temple Holiness Church and PTFC and Anthony "Junebug" Turner. She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory her loving parents, Vernestine and Dwight Cross; sister, Chantelle Kigler (Maurice) of Suffolk, VA; nieces, Avyonce and Arjanay Kigler; God parents, Elder Donald and Sis. Veretta Riddick; God-sisters, Dawn, Danielle, Lushus, Tyrice, Tiara and collection of special sisters; aunts, Cynthia Riddick (Haywood) and Lisa Cross; uncle; Emmett Artis, Jr. (Gwen); Great aunts, Bernice (Rev. David) Wiggins, Ida Rountree, Nancy Brown and Sarah Haskins; great uncle, Herman Bates, Sr., numerous cousins, family, friends and all of her "favorite" children. A viewing will be held 2-7 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2021 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held noon, Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Eatons Temple Holiness Church, 970 Drumhill Road, Gates, N.C 27937.Elder Dwight Cross will deliver the message of comfort. She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery. The family will receive guest at 1001 Greene Chapel Road, Suffolk, VA 23434.
