Corey Lovell Baker

Corey Lovell Baker, 30, of Nansemond Pkwy transitioned Sunday, November 4, 2018. He is the son of Teresa and Anthony Baker.Corey attended Lakeland High School. Corey was a guy who had a passion for people. He loved to joke with his friends. He attended  King's Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church and Faith Temple Apostolic Church as a young child singing in the children's choir. He was a gift from God who was tragically taken away from us and he will truly be missed.He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Teresa Baker; father, Anthony Baker (Nina); sister, Laquita Baker; special niece, Shamyra Lewis of Suffolk, VA; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Kindred (Anna); grandmother, Ms. Yvonne B. Clark; uncle, Kenneth Baker (Sharon); aunt Yvonne L. Clark from New York City; a very special friend, Pamala Knight, a special friend, Oliver W. Hoffler, Jr; best friend, Henry (Mann) Barnes; a host of many great aunt, great uncles, cousins, and friends.A celebration of life will be held noon, Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at St. Paul Church, 619 Spruce Street, Suffolk.
