Clyde McCoy Boone, 62, of Eighth Street, Suffolk, Virginia, transitioned peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
He was the beloved son of the late Leslie McCoy Boone and Barbara J. Boone. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clyde McCoy Boone and Lizzie Boone, James Bell, Georgia Bell, and Helen Bell.
Clyde was a man who truly loved his family. He found joy in being surrounded by those he cared for and was known for bringing people together with warmth, laughter, and a welcoming spirit. He also had a deep love for food, often expressing his care through shared meals and time spent with loved ones, creating lasting memories around the table.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Jhavaris Holland, Dalana Simmons, Dementia Warren, Deontra Warren, and Jabori Smith; his grandchildren, Jayden Lawrence, Jararia Holland, and Amora Ellen Warren; three sisters, Nita Jenkins, Cynthia Boone, and Pamela Shivers; one brother, Terry Robinson; nephews, Tyon Hart, Quatae Boone, Dontarius Boone, and DeJon Jenkins; nieces, Shequandra Boone and LaQuesha Ridley; great-nieces, Tamia Hart, Zyasia Hart, Zara Dildy, and Raina Riddick; great-nephews, Kash Boone, Amir Ridley, and Tityon Hart; aunts, Janice Boone, Anna Kindred, Eva Goodman, and Wanda Williams; uncle, Archie Williams; his godson and goddaughters; and a host of cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
Clyde will be remembered for his loving nature, his devotion to family, and the joy he brought to those around him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Viewing will be held 3-7 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2026 at Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Balm Church-East Campus. He will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Professional services with dignity, compassion and care have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
