Clyde Alvin Taylor, Jr.

September 12, 1951 — May 30, 2022

Mr. Clyde Alvin Taylor, Jr. was born to the late Clyde Alvin Taylor, Sr. and Bernice Jones Taylor on September 12, 1956. He was the eldest of three children-two sisters, Bernice Taylor (deceased) and Vanessa Taylor; and other relatives and loved ones. He graduated from Sheephead Bay High School in 1970. He joined the Air Force Branch of the Armed Service after high school. He retired from the service in 1977. Following retirement he was employed with the United States Post Office. He became the father of a daughter, Sabrina T. Lewis-born in 1977. He met and married Judy Turner after a short period. They joined in holy matrimony January 14, 1982. Judy had a son at that time-Derrick Cohen-born 1969. Clyde and Judy had a son-Clyde Alvin Taylor III-born-May 22, 1984. Clyde and Judy are the grandparents of 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Clyde became ill in 2003 and had to be on dialysis. He endured the procedures for 18 years. He fell and had a fractured neck bone while still on dialysis. He had several health issues after that and his body could not take anymore. So God called him home to glory. He leaves to cherish his precious memories-wife, Judy Turner Taylor, his children, grandchildren, his aunt and several nieces, nephews, two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, other relatives and friends. Our Heavenly Father knows our sadness. He knows our grief. And to all of our friends He will give relief. His blessed promise will never fail, and he will guide us through the vale. When death our loved one claim, Jesus knows our sorrow. He knows our pain. He will be our comfort. He will be with us all the way. A celebration of life will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 8, 2022 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in Laurel Hill Church Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
