Claudia Goodman

Missionary Claudia Goodman, 75, transitioned to her Lord on Sunday, June 23, 2019, surrounded by her family and friends. She was a native of New York. Missionary Claudia was a true woman of God. She was a faithful member of her church. She was a walking Bible. She taught her children and many others about God: how to pray, speak the Word, and have a relationship with God. She was loved by many. She leaves behind to celebrate her memory, her children:  James “Jimmy” Moore, Janice O. Goodman, Yolanda G. Miller (Dwayne), Claudia M. Goodman and Jamar T. Goodman (Takeisha); two brothers: James Franklin (Katie), of Winston-Salem, N.C., Richard Moore (Monique), of Winston-Salem, N.C.; one sister, Lucille Gordon, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; six grandchildren: Kevin Richardson, Duane “Isaiah” Miller, Marcus Miller, Benaiah Goodman, Sydnie Goodman and Michaiah Miller; and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2019, at Union Baptist Missionary Church, 5414 Nansemond Parkway, Suffolk, VA 23435. The family will receive family and friends at the repast following the interment.
