On Friday morning, March 30, 2018, the Angel of silence sealed the lips of our loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, Clarice Boone Jordan Holland. her soul winged it's flight from this world of sin, sorrow and pain to a place of Eternal rest.Clarice was born January 7, 1925, in Gates County, NC (Roduco) to the late William J. Boone, Sr. and Rosa Melton. At an early age she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized and joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board and was a  Missionary, and Deaconess.She came from a very close knit family and a family whold loved the Word of God. She was married to the late Leroy Jordan and was blessed with a loving and devoted son, Leroy Navorro Jordan, whom she cherished. Later in life she reunited and married her teenage sweetheart, Linwood Holland and was blessed with a loving marriage for 49 years. She later moved her church membership and became a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Holland, VA., to be with her husband and was a member of the Women's Fellowship Committee.Clarice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt who was compassionate and maintained a high sense of humor and youthfulness. She lived a fruitful life and a well spent life extended to all members of her family and community.She leaves t cherish her memories her husband, Linwood Holland of Suffolk, son, Navorro of Suffolk; stepson, Donald Holland of Columbia, SC; stepdaughter, Tonyania Temple of Hagerstown, MD; special sister-in-law, Bertha Holland; seven grandchildren; special daughter-in-law, Brenda Jordan; a host of nieces,nephews, relatives and friends.A celebration of life will be held noon, Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 6100 Holy Neck Road. Rev. Dr. William Lang will deliver the message of comfort. She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
