Celebrating the Life of
Chuck Terrell Earl Eley
April 4, 1975 – May 7, 2026
On Thursday, May 7, 2026, God called home our beloved Chuck at the age of 51 in Suffolk, Virginia. Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, kindness, and unforgettable memories.
Chuck was born on April 4, 1975, to Robert Earl Eley, Jr. and Mary Frances Eley. He was educated in Suffolk City Schools and was well known throughout the community for his vibrant personality, kind heart, and sense of style. Chuck took pride in always looking his best — well-groomed, fashionable, and often dressed in the latest trends and “freshest” sneakers. Wherever he went, his presence was noticed.
Chuck was fun-loving and truly enjoyed life. He loved music, enjoyed rapping, and had a natural way of uplifting others with words of encouragement and positivity. He was generous, giving, and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. More than anything, Chuck deeply loved his family and friends and cherished the time spent with them.
Chuck was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Earl Eley; his maternal grandparents, Frank and Lottie Lewis; and his paternal grandparents, Robert and Minnie Eley.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory: his children, Sacaria Seimone Sears and Taysean McLaurin; his beloved grandchildren, Jayionna Johnson, Navier Monk, and Kelsy Monk; his parents, Robert Earl Eley, Jr. and Mary Frances Eley; his siblings, Frank Lowell Eley (Annette), Peggie Marie Lawrence (Ronald), Claudette Eley, and LaRan Kirtrell Eley (Lauren); along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and many dear friends whose lives he touched.
Though Chuck’s earthly journey has ended, the love, laughter, and memories he shared will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
