Christopher Paul, Sr.

Christopher Paul, Sr., 67, of Nixon Drive, Suffolk, VA transitioned Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was the son of the late Laura A. Paul and Joseph Paul, Sr. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Andrew Paul, Linwood Paul, Willie Paul, Aaron Paul and Ronnie Paul and grandson, Jah'Navi L. Linton. He was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. He retired from Planters Nabisco Company after 27 years of faithful and dedicated service. He was a member of Rising St. James Pentecostal Church where he sung in the Male Choir. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of 43 years, Esther B. Paul of Suffolk; daughter, Laura L. Paul of Suffolk; son, Christopher Paul Jr. (P-Diddy) of Suffolk; two sisters, Gloria Utley Paul (Daniel) and Elnora Felton; two brothers, Joseph Paul, Jr. and Melvin Paul; two grandchildren, Alayzia A. Ricks and Zi'Myya Z. Paul; goddaughters, Whitney N. Wilson and Ayanna M. Harris; sisters-in-law, Sandra Paul, Sarah Paul and Diane Paul; other relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2021 at Rising St. James PHC. Pastor Robert Wilkins will deliver the message of comfort.
