Christine Elizabeth Williams better know as Chris was born May 31, 1949 to the late Burley and Marie Williams of New York City. She entered into eternal rest Sunday January 12, 2020 at 4:20 a.m. at Hospice Sentara Virginia Beach. At an early age Christine received a formal education and graduated from Julia Richmond High School of Nursing. She enjoyed life to its fullest. Chris was an avid basketball player and a fierce card player which she took very serious. Christine worked as a case manager for (Hpd) Housing preservation Dept. to give you an idea of her job her sister, Etta White worked for home care and one of her patients was home bound in a wheelchair and had not been out in two years due to the elevator being broken. When etta went home that evening, she called Chris and told her about her patient, when she returned to work the next day to her amazement, workers were fixing the elevator that's to show you the work of Chris. She was fierce in everything she did. Christine loved family most of all. Chris is preceded in death by her parents Burley and Marie Williams, her two brothers, James Cliffton Willims, Burley Williams; sister, Della Mae Stewart, her aunt Lucinda Norgrove, who was like a sister. She leaves to cherish her memories her sister, Etta White; brother-in-law, Dorian White from New York City; five nieces, Sheila Broom from Ohio, Christine Stewart of Brooklyn, NY, Tamara White from Bronx, NY, Ardella White, New York, Loreal White, New York; her extended niece, Jameelah Harris of Bronx, NY; one nephew, Dorian White, New York, three great nieces, Brandi Bradshaw of Brooklyn, NY, Aliyah White of New York, Dahlyn Hughley of New York; aunt, Key Williams of Detroit and a host of cousins and friends who love Christine dearly. We thank God for the years of pure pleasure on earth that she was with us and she is resting with the Almighty. We bid our goodbyes in deep sorrow, but with uplifted hearts that we shall meet again and dwell with the Lord in a fairer land without pain and suffering, where joys are unceasing. Sleep on Christine and take your rest. We love you dearly, but God loved you best. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church, Corapeake, N.C. Rev. William Norman will deliver the message of comfort.
