Christine W. Dildy

Christine W. Dildy, age 68, peacefully entered eternal rest on Friday, July 1, 2022. She was born on May 31, 1954 to the late Jeremiah Wiggins and Ella Mae Wiggins. She was preceded in death by two brothers; Justin Wiggins and Clifton Wiggins, one sister, Maebell Howell. She began her employment career at Lakeview Medical Center then went on to work at Sentara Obici Hospital as a Linen Coordinator and Heart Monitor Technician, retiring with 25 years of service. She was blessed with a large and loving family that she enjoyed spending time with. She had special names for all of her grandchildren. She also loved cooking, singing, dancing and making people laugh, she was a comedian within her own right. She leaves to cherish her husband, Eugene M. Dildy; six daughters, Beverly Dildy, Shinon Clark (James), Charleen Dildy, Tokeshia Johnson (Roy), Kirsten Dildy, Suffolk, VA; Connie Hudgins, Charlotte, NC; two sons, Eugene Dildy (Benjenecia) and Kelton Dildy, Suffolk, VA; fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Copper and Regina Peterson (James); three brothers, Lloyd Wiggins (Mary), James Wiggins (Virginia) and Manuel Wiggins; one aunt, Evoria Hagans; four sister-in-laws, Helen Robertson, Janice Ralph, Minnie Dildy and Velma Dildy; one brother-in-law, Wesley Dildy. A special friend, Caffee Carr; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. A public viewing will be held 11am-5pm, Sunday, July 10, 2022 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. A celebration of life will be held 1:30pm, Monday, July 11, 2022 at Metropolitan Baptist Church. Pastor Travis Parker will deliver the message of comfort.
