Charles Edward Deloatch

Charles Edward Deloatch, 75, of Mahlon Avenue, Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Saturday, September 14,2019 at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was the son of the late Mrs. Essie M. DeLoatch and Mr. David W. DeLoatch, Sr.  Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Brenda J. DeLoatch, David W. DeLoatch, Johnny L. DeLoatch, and Sandra J. DeLoatch. He was a graduate of East Suffolk High School and in 1995 he retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 25 years of faithful and dedicated service. He leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Earl H. DeLoatch; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A celebration of life will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 20, 2019 at Metropolitan Baptist Church. Dr. Robert Hobbs will deliver the message of comfort. He will be laid to rest in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
