Cathlean “Sally” Everett of Suffolk, VA was born May 16, 1944 to the late Stella Brown and Paul Hall, Sr. She was one of 15 children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: Wilbert Brown, Curtis Dixon, Pernell Brown, Jr., William Hall, James Hall and Paul Hall, Jr., her grandson Marquis Staggs and her daughter Baby girl Everett. She was a former member of Little Mt Zion Baptist Church where she served as deaconess and sang in the choir. She then went on to become a member of Christian Home Baptist Church where she was also a member of the choir and served on the Y.E.S. (Youth Empowerment to Serve) ministry. Sally was one of the most loving and welcoming people you would ever want to meet. Anyone who came in contact with her can attest to that. She had an infectious smile and caring personality. She departed this life on May 24, 2023 at Virginia Beach General Hospital. She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her husband of 50 years Ned Everett, three daughters: Sylvia Jackson (Derrick), Elnora Hughes (Adrian), Keisha Everett and two sons William Staggs and Curtis Staggs, Sr. Ten grandchildren: Kenisha Staggs, Briyanna Everett, Judah Hughes, Josiah Hughes, Joshua Hughes, Isaiah Hughes, Adrian “AJ” Hughes, Jr, and Tameika Riddick. Two great grandchildren: Curtis “CJ” Staggs, Jr., Charlee Staggs. Eight sisters: Caroline Jones (Keith), Virginia Mann (Noble), Dorothy Jones, Mary Brown, Deloris Hall, Lois Hall, Robin Hall, Sandra Dildy. One brother: Charles Hall. A host of nieces and nephews and six special friends: Shirley Boone, Edith Powell, Mildred Riddick, Tisha Porter, Linda Reid and Frances Pittman. A public viewing will be held 2:00 - 7:00pm, Thursday, June 1, 2023 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2023 at Christian Home Baptist Church. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
