Carrie Lee Wilson

On Sunday, April 13, 2025, the Lord prepared a special place for Carrie Lee Young-Wilson and called her home to heaven. 

Carrie was born on December 6, 1942, to the late Hurley Sr. and Estelle Kelly Young in Nansemond County. She received her high school diploma from John F. Kennedy. Carrie was a native of Nansemond County, Va. She worked for the Smithfield Packing Company for many years & Nansemond Pointe and her most recent @ Sentara Obici Hospital.

Carrie accepted the lord at a young age and continued to show her love & beliefs to everyone she encountered. Carrie loved all her family and will show her love & appreciation in many ways that you know she cared. She loved cooking and feeding her family.

Carried was preceded in death by her ex-husband William Wilson Sr. and sisters Janice Young, Essie Young, Lucille Baker, Daisy Young, Lois Allmond, Catherine Ricks, and Virginia Wilson.

She leaves to cherish her memory her one and only son; William Wilson Jr, her siblings; Helen Chapman, Hurley Young Jr. (Mary), John Young (Terri) Mary Pittman, Joyce Young-Ford (Claude), and Lisa Young, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

 A celebration of life will be held 11am, Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Christian Home Baptist Church, 20123 Longview Drive, Windsor, Virginia. She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
