Carolyn Geraldine Simpson (“Bonnie”), 72 years old of Hampton, Virginia passed away on  September 5, 2018, in Hampton, Virginia. Mrs. Simpson was born on February 5, 1946, to the late Lillie Mae Hinton and Titus Timothy Butts. She was also raised by her stepfather the late Elijah Jordan in Suffolk Virginia. She later relocated to Hampton, Virginia, where she met and married her husband George Simpson. Bonnie accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and was a member of the Gates of Heaven COGIC of Suffolk, VA. She attended Carver High School in Newport News, VA. She worked as a Dietician Assistant at Riverside Convalescent Center in Hampton, VA where she cared for and loved her patients for twenty-one years. She medically retired due to being diagnosed with breast cancer, which she valiantly defeated eleven years ago. Bonnie continued to grow in the Lord. by attending and graduating from W.P. Wiggins Bible Institute in Suffolk, VA  in June 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband George Simpson; Mother Lillie Mae Hinton, her Fathers Titus Butts and Elijah Jordan; her only aunts Ruth Dixon and Josephine Jones; and her beloved brother and sister Cecil and Cecile Jordan. Carolyn Geraldine Simpson leaves to cherish her memory five sons: Marvin Jordan of Hampton, VA; Terry Simpson of Hampton, VA; George Simpson (Crystal) of Fredericksburg, VA; David Simpson of Hampton, VA; and Dominique Juneau (Keldrick) of Prince George, VA. Two daughters: Geraldine Simpson of Hampton, VA and Bonnie Simpson of Hampton, VA. Twenty grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren; two sisters: Beverly Barrios of Suffolk, VA and Linda Silver (Sylvester), of Suffolk, VA; one brother: Andrew Garrison Jordan (Diane) of Hampton, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.A celebration of life will be held noon, Monday, September 10, 2018, at Gates of Heaven COGIC. She will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
