Carol Dena Johnson

On July 10, 1958, a angel was born to the late John L. Johnson and Eloise Love Johnson in Suffolk, VA. She departed this life December 20, 2022 at the age of 64 in Sentara Obici Hospital. Carol was a 1977 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in Suffolk, Virginia. Carol entered into Holy Matrimony to Lisa Pebbles on October on October 8, 2014. She was an active member of Oak Grove Baptist Church until her health started declining. She loved the quote "Family is Life's Greatest Blessing". She was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, John Johnson, Jr and Alfred T. Vines and sister, Tomasina Vines Tillery. She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved and devoted wife of eight years of marriage Lisa Peebles Johnson; one son, Kenyatta Johnson of Portsmouth, VA; stepson, Adrian Peebles (Tyron Maclind) of Harrisburg, PA; two stepdaughters, Adriana Peebles of Suffolk and Gabrielle Saunders of Richmond, VA; grandchildren, Essence, Kenyatta, Jr., Kenyon, Aidan, Anica, Alexa and Alex; beloved sisters, Gloria Dolsberry of Suffolk, VA, N. Johnella Porter (Frank) of Fort Washington, Maryland. Beloved brother, Robert Almond of Atlantic City, N.J; devoted sisters-in-law, Shaundra Peebles of Portsmouth and Katrina Peebles of Suffolk; brothers-in-law, Kenny (Donna) of Hampton, Glenn Travis Peebles of Suffolk and Donald Vann of Suffolk, VA; God mother, Barbara Gibbs of Suffolk, VA; God daughter, Kayla Gibbs of Suffolk, VA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close cousin Charlene Budd. A special and dedicated brother and sister, Adrian and Kristen Brown of Los Angeles, CA. A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2022 in the Melvin J.
