Brenda Holland

Brenda Holland, 66, of Lawson Circle, Suffolk, Virginia transitioned May 29, 2021 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Mary N. Alston and James Alston. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara A. Alston. She attended Norfolk State University and received her Bachelors in Social Work. She retired in 2017 after 33 years of faithful and dedicated service with the City of Suffolk Department of Social Services as a Finance/Eligibility Worker II. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Crystal L. Holland; three grandchildren, Mya Miller, Janyah Dildy and Jaden Williams. A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2021 at Carver Memorial Cemetery. Gloria Lassiter will deliver the message of comfort.
