Brenda Deloatch is a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, and friend, transitioned from this Earth on Sunday, May 25, 2025, in the comfort of her home.
Brenda was born on March 10, 1955, to Jasper and Clara Jones in Suffolk, VA, who preceded her in death.
She was a dedicated employee of Smithfield Packing Company, where she was employed for 20 years. She was known for her kind-hearted, giving spirit and inviting smile. Brenda was our songbird, filling our family with such joy and love with the sound of her voice. Her love for music was truly contagious.
Brenda Deloatch is survived by her husband Odell Deloatch, 2 daughters Patrice Williams and Akita Deloatch, Son Kendell Thompson, Goddaughter Jakila Higgs, Bonus Sons: Carlos Bailey, Ray Jones, and Armand Ouedrago. Grandchildren: Monte Williams, Dequazhanique Jones, Miracle Benjamin, and Jireh Mabry. Sisters: Shirley Kee, Janice Wilson, Delois Dailey, Clara Pittman, and Honorary sister Patricia Holliman. Brothers: Samual Dailey, honorary brothers Michael Harrell and Dwight Gwaltney. Great Aunts Janice Parker and Doretha Holland. Proceeded in death brother Jasper Dailey, sisters Stella Stagg and Bessie Dailey.
Sisters in love: Constance Cheeks (Sam) and Francena Croker (Bobby). Brothers in love: Alton Barnes (Lillian), Ronald Deloatch, William Deloatch, and proceeded in death Marvin Deloatch.

A wake will be held from 4-6 pm, Thursday, May 29, 2025, in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, May 30, 2025, at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Deloatch will be laid to rest at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
