Brenda Clark

July 31, 1961 — October 30, 2021

When heaven becomes our final home, no tears shall cloud our view. This earthly tent and all it’s trails shall be transformed a new. In the early morning of October 30, 2021, our dearly beloved Minister Brenda Mae Eley Clark departed this life to gain eternal life in her new home, a mansion in the sky. She was born July 31, 1961, to the late George Elliott Eley, Sr. and Fannye Blowe Eley, being the sixth of seven children and the youngest daughter. Our beloved Brenda was a life-time resident of Southampton County who loved and served her community and surrounding areas. She worked for many years as a nurse for Serenity Healthcare and she was a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant. She was a life-long devoted member of Shiloh Baptist Church serving willingly and faithfully as member of the Sunday school, the Deaconess Ministry, and the ministerial staff. Her soul was anchored in God’s Holy Word, for she boldly preached the Word with Power and Might. Precious memories will be cherished by her daughter Ebony Samone Clark, son, Edward Vincent Clark, granddaughters Yurie Amira Clark and Aubrey Olivea Clark. Her siblings: George E. Eley, Jr. (Evangeline), Joyce A. Page (deceased Fernando), Cynthia E. Warren (Alexander), Sharon E. Joyner (Joseph), Reginald E. Eley (Stephanie), Michael L. Eley, Sr. (Tonya). Aunts: Roberta B. Wilson, Irene B. Littlejohn, Betty J. Eley, Neil Roberts, Gladys Brown, Phyllis Stokes (Jerry) and Marvin Stringfield (Ira). Uncle: Alvernon Eley (Wilhelmina). Also, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other relatives. Adopted sisters include Yvette Thomas, Lisa Hawkins, and Sandra Whitaker. A celebration of life will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Shiloh Baptist Church. 9000 Firetower Road, Windsor, Virginia. She will be laid in the church cemetery.
