Blanche Owens Anderson

Our beloved mother, Blanche Owens Anderson, sadly passed away on November 18, 2024 at the age of 57. Blanche was born on Kissimmee Avenue, Suffolk, Virginia on July 17, 1967.

She was a graduate of Forest Glenn High School and Paul D. Camp Community College. She worked for Suffolk Public Schools as a dedicated teachers’ assistant until 2012. She was a wonderful mother who was always there for her family, offering love, support, wisdom, and love in abundance. Full of love, laughter, and resilience, she touched the lives of all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Claiborne and stepfather, Jimmy Lee Montgomery and biological father, Irvin Dildy; brothers, Gregory Ruffin and Kelvin Ruffin; grandparents (maternal), Jessie and Novella Owens; grandparents (paternal), Harrison and Pearl Holland.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Mark Anderson, Sr.; three children, Mark Anderson, Jr., Krystal and Dominique Anderson; aunt, Shirley Davis (Jerome); uncle, William Holland; niece, Elder Shamay Carroll; great nephews, Miyazaki, Isaiah, Malachi and Josiah Edmonds; great niece, Aaliyah Edmonds; a host of other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held 3-7 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2024 in the chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held noon, Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Union Baptist Missionary Church. She will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
